Operates large manual machines of various descriptions and functions. Performs and assists in other manufacturing functions as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner
Sets up and operates manual controlled machine tools to mill, drill, tap, turn, bore, slot, grind, and or assemble a variety of parts of various alloys and materials to quality and time standards set by the organization
Performs in process and final inspections as required.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings and blueprints
Uses various types of precision instruments, such as dial indicators, verniers, and micrometers
Maintains open communication and suggests methods and programming improvement to management
Keeps accurate paperwork and exhibit 5S standards through a clean and orderly work area
Continuously improves profitability through improving safety, quality, reducing manufacturing costs, reducing lead times, and working as a team member
Operates overhead cranes and fork trucks as required for material staging
Works in other operational areas when required, other duties as assigned
Ability to set up and efficiently operate horizontal lathes and drill presses, as well as internal and external grinders
Proficiently perform layout operations for on necessary parts per engineered drawings

SCHOOL EDUCATION
Minimum
High School Education or Relevant Technical Training

Demonstrated proficiency in machine operation

Excellent machining skills (5+ years experience) and proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications
