SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Configuration Management Specialist I.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP is currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist. The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for configuration management issues associated withmaintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, productreleases, and software configuration management. Individual shall also workclosely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementingprocedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.Individual shall provide change management and product configuration managementguidance.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide support to theOHIO Class Configuration Management (CM)/Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)group at NUWC.
  • Perform System and Subsystem reviews of Engineering Change(EC)/Engineering Change Instruction (ECI)/Software Update (SU)/TemporaryEngineering Change (TEC) for OHIO Class submarines.
  • Interaction withParticipating Manager (PARM) during team and one on one discussions for commentreview meetings and providing status of products.
  • Develop alterationinstallation status reports.
  • Maintain Ship Acquisition System (SAS) databasefor assigned subsystems by creating Design Documentation Package (DDP) records,creating Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) sheets and planning records,performing Weapon System File Transfers (WSFTs) for applicable records, process4790/CKs submitted by installation activities, and maintain/update baselinerecords.
  • Develop WSFT status charts.
  • Access Configuration Data ManagersDatabase-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) to verify successful WSFTs and retrieveAPLs.
  • Support Physical Configuration Audits.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: 3 years of relevant experience.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
