Job Description
The Holman Biotech Commons is an integral part of the Penn Libraries and provides cutting-edge research services, resources, and technology for the Perelman School of Medicine, including Biomedical Graduate Studies; the School of Nursing; the Department of Biology; various masters programs; and Penn Medicine, the University of Pennsylvania Health System. This is a great opportunity for exposure to the workings of academic and specialized libraries.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Participate in the library's reference rotation schedule by assisting patrons through in-person, phone, email, and chat services.
Provide general reference support for the Penn Libraries, including chat reference.
Participate in developing workshops and online tutorials.
Maintain and improve guides to information resources.
Assist Librarians with projects related to systematic reviews, bioinformatics, research impact assessment, knowledge management and data visualization.

Flexible hours 10-20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
All applicants must be enrolled in a Master's degree program in Library/Information Science.
A science background is not required.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Budgeted Pay Range:
