Salary: $120k - $190k + quarterly bonus (depending on experience and qualifications)
Position Overview: The Data Science Team Lead/Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a team of data scientists and analysts, focusing on the development of user interface and experience (UI/UX) solutions. This role will involve overseeing the integration and analysis of large datasets, developing data-driven solutions, and ensuring the effective use of data in decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, SQL, and Python, and experience with tools such as Power BI and Salesforce. Additionally, this individual must have proven experience in managing teams and building departments from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of data science projects.
Build and manage a high-performing data science and UI/UX team.
Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
Oversee the integration and synchronization of data from multiple sources into a large SQL data lake.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the effective use of data in decision making.
Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights.
Ensure the integrity and security of data.
Stay up to date with the latest data science trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Proven experience in a data science or analytics role, preferably in a leadership position.
Proven experience as a Data Architect
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
Experience with Power BI and Salesforce.
Proficiency in additional programming languages such as R, Java, or Scala.
Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
Experience in building a department or team from the ground up.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with medical records data is a plus.
Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and experience in developing user-centric solutions.
