We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role will act as a critical resource for the Vice President of IT Operations, playing a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our network, security, and telecommunications systems. Key Responsibilities:
Design, modify, configure, test, and implement network, security, and telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Provide technical guidance and support to networking and telecom staff, acting as a key resource for troubleshooting and system analysis.
Conduct research and system analysis to propose design upgrades and keep our systems up-to-date with evolving technologies.
Respond promptly and professionally to production issues and system-related challenges.
Supervise the deployment of networking and telecommunications systems, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Document configurations and system changes thoroughly throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze system specifications and translate them into task requirements for IT staff.
Conduct system performance diagnosis and troubleshooting for networks and telecom systems.
Lead system integration efforts to ensure secure data throughput and enhanced communication capabilities.
Collaborate with internal IT peers, cross-functional teams, and external clients to build positive relationships and support systems development.
Provide recommendations to senior management on network topology, security settings, and telecommunications performance.
Attend staff meetings, prepare reports, present technical information, and interact regularly with credit union clients and senior leadership.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in network, security, telecom, or IT systems development.
Palo Alto firewall experience is a must, with demonstrated expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewall systems.
In-depth experience with network protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, VPN, IDS/IPS, and network management tools like F5 and Palo Alto.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for network and security systems.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with internal and external clients.
Experience with secure system configurations and performance optimization.
Racking and stacking experience is required, with hands-on expertise in physically installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment in data centers or server environments.
Preferred certifications include CCNP, CCIE, MCSE, or Security certifications like CISSP or CEH.
