About the Role
This position will be served on-site at our G.D facility located in Richmond, VA, with a direct report to our Head of Project Management. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects from order launch through shipment. Role will require creating a planned timeline, cost analysis and monitoring the project through its life cycle to achieve the expected milestones. Also, you will facilitate the review of customer specifications and the G.D. quotation such that the scope of work is defined.
Responsibilities include:
Liaising between management, engineering, corporate office and the customer.
Monitoring the project budget and other critical inputs (e.g., hours, parts, kits, etc.) and invoice the customer upon project completion.
Arranging and facilitating all customer and vendor visits during the duration of the project.
Communicating with the customer to meet the project's needs: machine specifications, test material, floor plan sign offs, payments, etc.
Coordinate project work plan for successful project completion.
What You Need to Be Successful
Ideally 3+ years project management experience, bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Experience in a fast paced, engineered to order, manufacturing environment.
Highly organized and good at managing details.
Effective presentation skills.
Aptitude to deal directly with customers effectively in high pressure situations, not conflict adverse.
Proactive on follow-up.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Superior ability to plan.
Willingness to travel less than 10% to customer sites and other business unit locations.
