SENIOR INTERIORS

Senior level Interiors (hybrid) opening for an award-winning, educational design focused architecture firm located in Castle Rock, CO. This position will work with our integrated design teams and Client Leaders to continue to produce research-based designs for our amazing firm!

Basic Qualifications
  • A 4- or 6-year CIDA accredited professional degree in Interior Architecture/Design preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience preferred.
  • NCIDQ certified strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in free-hand sketching, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Revit Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Active participation in the community and industry associations (AIA, USGBC, etc.) preferred.
  • You have documentation that allows you to work in the United States of America without company sponsorship.
  • You have met required background check standards.

Role Responsibilities

A member of the People & Studio Experience pillar.

Reports to Studio Director.

Contributes to an integrated architectural practice, assisting project teams of all types and sizes including but not limited to the following by:
  • Understanding and working within the basic project scope, budget, schedule, and your specific role to align with the project plan and goals.
  • Utilizing the co-creation process internally and externally as part of the architectural workflow.
  • Exploring design concepts and ideas through hand sketches and design software.
  • Developing the BIM model of new or existing buildings.
  • Assessing existing facilities.
  • Executing the design through all facets of construction documentation, producing a coordinated drawing set for bidding, and permitting.
  • Supporting the creation of owner presentations and visual story telling.
  • Participating in owner meetings and internal team discussions.
  • Communicating project concerns and opportunities regarding assigned tasks with Project Lead.
  • Collaborating with the project team and resources in design exploration and documentation.

Additionally, you may be expected to lead one or multiple projects (which may include design phases for small new builds and additions, all phases for interior scopes, and FFE) by:
  • Creating and managing the project plan to ensure appropriate staffing and resources support project success. This includes scheduling internal and external meetings to support the process within the planned hours.
  • Teaming with the Client Leader to revise and adapt the Project Plan as required.
  • Connecting collaborating with Project Resources to support project quality.
  • Leading phases of the co-creation process with the client and team.
  • Communicating staff tasks, project expectations, and support needs to the team and Studio Directors.
  • Coordinating the project design with consultants, business partners and internal project team.
  • Leading Construction administration services including site observations and submittals reviews.
  • Submitting jurisdictional authority documentation as required.
  • Communicating with the client as to data gathering needs and schedule adjustments to support project completion and success.
  • Fulfilling unique tasks or client requests as agreed to with the Client Lead.
  • Mentoring less experienced team members as needed.

With additional experience, you may be asked to lead or engage in the following:
  • Contributing to a collaborative, integrated design Studio, assisting the Project Development Directors in a variety of annual internal research, process, and standardization efforts.
  • Acting as a Project Resource to assist design teams through strategy, mentorship, concentrated design efforts, educational expertise and quality assurance.
  • Developing business opportunities by working to build strong client relationships. Likely will be asked to participate in business development opportunities.
  • Contributing to knowledge and growth of the Firm knowledge by sharing experiences and knowledge through internal presentations or trainings.

Other Requirements include the ability to:
