Development Services Group, Inc. (DSG) is a national leader in social sciences research and management consulting, based in Bethesda, MD. For over 40 years, we've partnered with agencies like the U.S. Departments of Justice, Health and Human Services, and State to deliver innovative, evidence-based solutions that drive positive change in areas like criminal justice, juvenile justice, and victim services.
We are currently seeking experienced Writer-Editors to support our federal government contracts, particularly with the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and edit a wide range of documents, including press releases, reports, fact sheets, speeches, blogs, and digital content.
Copy edit and proofread materials for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to AP style guidelines.
Coordinate and compile data, metrics, and information to create and edit weekly reports, including summaries of agency-wide activities and communication impact assessments.
Assist with communications and coordination activities as needed.
Senior Writer-Editors may oversee content development and production for major DOJ publications.
Qualifications:
Writer-Editor:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in writing and editing reports, publications, and various documents.
Strong writing skills and proficiency in AP style.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
Senior Writer-Editor:
Minimum 5 years of experience writing and editing reports and documents for government clients, particularly the DOJ.
Expertise in federal plain language guidelines.
Proven ability to handle tight deadlines in a government setting.
Both Roles:
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance by the contract start date.
