Responsibilities
As a VDC/BIM Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless project delivery by managing and coordinating virtual design processes. Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with project teams to develop and coordinate 3D models for electrical systems on high-profile multifamily, healthcare, and data center projects.
Integrating BIM into all stages of the project lifecycle, working closely with design, engineering, and construction teams.
Leading clash detection and resolution efforts, ensuring smooth on-site execution.
Maintaining accurate BIM models that align with company and project-specific standards.
Managing VDC workflows and coordinating with various stakeholders to meet project timelines.
Providing technical support and training to team members on BIM tools and processes.
Facilitating coordination meetings with internal and external teams to resolve conflicts and optimize design solutions.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in VDC/BIM coordination, particularly within the electrical construction industry.
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Field Electrician, with a strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial construction environments.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with electrical or MEP systems, especially in multifamily high-rise, healthcare, or data center projects.
Strong problem-solving skills with experience in clash detection and model management.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required).
