We are seeking a Due Diligence Project Scientist 2 to join our New York team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment - field assessment, historical research, and report writing.
Collect field data including air, soil, and groundwater sample collection, logging of soil borings and monitoring wells, site inspections.
Prepare Phase II reports.
Provide billable administrative support to Project Managers as requested.
Become thoroughly familiar with Atlas policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in Geology, Engineering or Environmental Sciences
5+ years' experience with Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, site investigations, including site visits and report writing
Familiar with preparation of Preliminary Assessments per New Jersey Regulations (N.J.A.C. 7:26E-3) and the NJDEP Preliminary Assessment Technical Guidance
Valid US Driver's license and safe driving record.
Perform field work under limited supervision and in accordance with Atlas and Client safety protocols.
Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established criteria.
40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER certification, current HAZWOPER refresher
Working knowledge of NJ and NY regulations
Technical Requirements:
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other widely used computer programs.
Working knowledge of EDR's Parcel and Quire Platforms desirable.
Excellent skills in technical writing and verbal communications
Working knowledge of New Jersey Preliminary Assessment processes New Jersey Site Remediation Act regulations.
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
Ability to travel up to 25%, mostly within NY and NJ.
Desire to obtain relevant professional registration or certification, if not already obtained.
Experience performing field assignments including drilling and environmental sampling activities.
Experience in environmental consulting desired.
Ability to work independently and on project teams with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
$80,000-$85,000 Yearly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
