Role Overview:
As a Technical Analyst, you will support our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and provide essential desktop and end-user support at our Distribution Center. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, learn our systems inside and out, and be the go-to problem solver for technical issues. Primary Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management System:
Become a WMS Expert: Gain deep knowledge of the Newtimes Warehouse Management System
Optimize Workflows: Assess current warehouse workflows to identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements
Gather Requirements: Partner with business and cross-functional technology teams to gather technical and functional requirements, balancing feasibility and business value
System Configuration: Make configuration changes as needed to support business operations
Testing and Bug Fixing: Create testing scripts, and perform testing of new features, system upgrades, and bug fixes
Issue Diagnosis and Resolution: Diagnose system and API issues, working closely with the WMS SaaS provider to resolve bugs, performance issues, and other system-related concerns
Training and Documentation: Create and maintain training materials and facilitate training sessions to ensure smooth user adoption and operational consistency
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams such as Integration and eCommerce to align WMS capabilities with business needs
Secondary Responsibilities:
End User Support:
Desktop and Hardware Support: Install, configure, maintain, and support laptops, desktops, and peripherals (e.g., printers, RF scanners), including patch management and antivirus updates
Network Support: Provide basic support for network switches, routers, and ISP equipment; collaborate with external partners when necessary
Inventory Management: Maintain a detailed inventory of all IT equipment at the warehouse
Project Management: Lead small technology projects and initiatives within the warehouse
Desktop Support and Collaboration: Provide comprehensive desktop support and collaborate with other technology teams as needed
Training and Support: Create and maintain training content for end users and lead training sessions on new systems or processes
Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications:
Strong aptitude for learning new systems and technologies
Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a technology focus
1-2 years of technology experience
Good understanding of IT concepts (e.g., networking, desktop support)
Problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Interest in growing your technical skills and responsibilities within the organization
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
