Job Description:

Job Summary:

This position will be focused on the following major scope areas and projects:

In conjunction with senior management and the capital partners, create a multi-year technology roadmap.

Selection and implementation of a new ERP system. While the scope for this is still being determined, core functions are expected to including accounting and leasing.

In conjunction with specialized cyber resources, assess and upgrade technology to better protect the organization from risk.

In conjunction with senior management and the capital partners, work with the team to enhance reporting and dashboard functionality.

In addition, other support areas include community associates, roll-out of limited asset-based technology to support the residents, and support for employees and related technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master degree preferred).
  • Five plus years of experience managing IT staff and/or leading IT project teams required.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in Information Systems, with a strong preference for experience in accounting and leasing software.
  • Proven experience as an IT Director or similar managerial role.
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in IT infrastructure planning, development, and operations.
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP) may be preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work duties.
  • Embodies a patient and creative attitude with the ability to think outside the box

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the IT systems department, including the recruitment, training, and performance management of IT staff.
  • Develop a strategic vision for IT that aligns with business objectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Mentor and guide the IT team, focused on professional growth and ensuring high performance.
  • Regular, on-site attendance and punctuality is required as scheduled.
  • Technology Implementation & Integration
  • Collaborate with capital partners and executive leadership to identify, evaluate, and implement technology solutions that align with organizational growth and operational objectives.
  • Recommend, implement, and oversee critical systems, including accounting, leasing, and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
  • Manage system integrations and third-party data integrations, ensuring seamless transactions and data flow across all platforms.
  • Support new community acquisitions and developments, including data conversions, migrations, and onboarding processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of reliable, highly available, and secure network communications, storage, and computing resources.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of Wi-Fi networks across all senior living communities, ensuring robust and secure connectivity.
  • Ensure the organization IT infrastructure is resilient, scalable, and capable of supporting future growth.
  • Implement and execute cybersecurity awareness and prevention strategies to safeguard organizational assets and data.
  • Ensure appropriate security controls are in place to protect digital files, vital electronic infrastructure, and respond to security breaches and viruses.
  • Regularly review and update IT security standards, ensuring deficiencies are remediated and security training is current for all staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement security policies and protocols.
  • Monitor security vulnerabilities and threats
  • Develop and manage IT budgets, providing support for budget line items and ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while delivering exceptional results.
  • Analyze IT expenses and performance to optimize costs and enhance the value of IT services to the organization.
  • Assist executive leadership in developing and maintaining long-range strategic and tactical information services plans in support of corporate mission, vision, and business strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with consultants, administrators, peer managers, supervisors, staff, and vendors to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Monitor and report on IT projects and system performance, providing regular updates to executive management and other key stakeholders.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Meets the assigned work requirements of the job.

  • Serves as a role model for all employees by displaying a responsible, cooperative, and positive attitude.
  • Represents the Company in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.

  • Maintains personnel, resident, and business proprietary and/or confidential matters/material in strict confidence with management of the Company (and/or Company staff as needed).
