At a high level, this role will be involved with helping allocate capital and resources (portfolio / cash management), analyzing and reporting on investor and portfolio performance and value
At times, this role will assist with acquisitions related work such as updating underwriting models and updating offering memorandums
Primary responsibilities include
Updating individual asset models for changing business plans (renovation schedules, opex, rents, capex)
Updating individual asset models with actuals (typically quarterly but could be more often)
Collaborating with leasing team re: targeted rents vs underwritten rents and renovation / buyout schedules
Collaborating with development (capex) team re: budget and schedule
Managing the rent comps and opex database
Updating the SREO (schedule of owned real estate)
Ad hoc analyses
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in financial analysis / heavy excel user with a background in roles such as but not limited to FP&A, corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, management consulting and/or private equity
Ability to dissect and understand existing financial models independently and build new models ad hoc
