Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will proactively influence K-12 and Higher Education end-user customers on the benefits of choosing our products and solutions for esports. This is a strategic role that will greatly impact the future of our business, revenue, and the products we create. You will Concentrate on identifying needs, growth strategies and relationship development. This includes business strategy, product development, sales channels, growth, and marketing.
Responsibilities:
Maintain existing customer relationships within a specific region.
Target new customer relationships in key vertical markets and strategically position products to attract customer adoption and standardization.
Pursue project leads and follow through to secure business.
Collaborate with Extron design engineers to ensure that customer requirements are met.
Conduct market research and identify industry trends to introduce into new product development.
Partner with Extron regional sales colleagues to ensure channel partners and contractors lead with Extron solutions.
Have a strong understanding of Extron position in the marketplace and how to sell against competition.
Requirements:
5+ years' experience, with a strong technical background, developing accounts and selling project based, hardware and /or software systems solutions.
Knowledge of procurement policies, information technology procurement needs, and facilities management within a large organization.
Understanding of Government and corporate customers' procurement cycles.
Expertise in Audio, Video and Control solutions as it relates to esports environments.
Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, highly organized, computer literate.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
50% minimum Travel Required.
