The OHSU School of Nursing in Klamath Falls is located on the Oregon Institute of Technology campus, which offers state-of-the-art bachelor's degree programs in engineering, health, and business technologies. Klamath Falls offers an outstanding array of natural and cultural wonders. Klamath Falls is 280 miles from Portland.
OHSU has three missions: healing, teaching, and discovery. In the School of Nursing, these focus to optimize health, prepare nurse leaders, and transform health care. Infusing these is a fourth: to become a trauma-informed and truly anti-racist institution. The School of Nursing has made the same commitment. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service.
Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research):
Plans and supervises student lab and/or clinical experiences or practice based on teaching assignments.
Participates in scholarly activities based on faculty rank.
At the Assistant Professor rank or higher, faculty in the practice mission, demonstrates competence in an area of clinical expertise and engages in inquiry and scholarship that contributes to the practice of clinical practice.
At the Assistant Professor rank or higher, faculty in the research mission advance a program of research, prepares grants and seek funding, and engage with other missions to foster inquiry within the SON.
Education Activities (include types of teaching and types of students taught):
Provides effective didactic instruction based on teaching assignments using appropriate instructional technologies to ensure that course outcomes are met.
Participates collaboratively in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum.
Mentors and advises students.
Faculty in the doctoral program supervise students in dissertation and/or clinical inquiry projects.
Service Activities
These activities could include faculty meetings, committee membership, professional activities, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Program or Academic Director.
Participates in faculty governance; additional engagement based on rank.
Administrative Activities
As negotiated.
Other Activities

Education (Degree dependent on academic program type and rank of position.):
Lecturer: BSN or equivalent
Instructor: MSN or equivalent
Assistant Professor: Ph.D./DNP or equivalent
Doctorate preferred. A doctorate is required for ranks of Assistant Professor or higher.
Registrations, Certifications, and/or Licenses (Current licensure & certifications could be required depending on position and academic program.):
Oregon RN license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Experience (Experience dependent on academic program type and rank of position.):
2 years of clinical practice experience required
Teaching experience at the baccalaureate level or higher preferred.

Instructor (MSN or equivalent): $76,927-$96,095
Assistant Professor (MSN/DNP or equivalent): $82,005-$114,786
