Holder Construction is an ENR Top 30 Construction industry leader with operations throughout the United States. We are currently seeking highly motivated construction professionals to join our company in a BIM/ VDC Team, located in Phoenix, AZ.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate problem solving using technology and collaboration with project teams, both internal and external
Collaborate with other VDC Managers to coordinate the workload of the extended VDC team
Ensure modeling efforts and deliverables are completed to solve construction issues
Create, update and manage VDC coordination schedules by tracking the responsibilities of all relevant stakeholders
Ensure that the team is identifying and resolving coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks
Ensure that clash resolution and coordination meetings are well run and that the extended team sees all items through to completion
Ensure the extended project team is using modeling best practices and company standards to produce accurate models
Ensure that quality reviews are conducted to confirm compliance with the contract documents
Ensure the team is applying concepts from training sessions and lessons learned to facilitate project coordination
Ensure that VDC services are delivered in accordance with our standards and best practices while achieving our project goals
Ensure that all members of the team receive the training and development they need to be successful
Understand and contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives
Requirements for this position include:
5+ years of BIM/VDC experience working on commercial construction projects
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent combination of training and experience
Willingness to relocate and travel
Willingness to learn, grow, and further develop relevant professional skills
Ability to manage a team of VDC professionals spread across multiple specialties and organizations
Ability to manage multiple projects and/or complex projects with multiple concurrent coordination efforts
Ability to help teammates learn, grow and develop their professional skills
Proficient with 3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, & Navisworks
Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and others as applicable
Strong working knowledge of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules
Strong working knowledge of the construction management process (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings).
