Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Grants Accountant to join our team. The Grants Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of grants received by the organization and ensuring compliance with grant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor grant budgets, including preparation and submission of grant requests
Ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines by maintaining accurate records and tracking expenses
Prepare and submit grant reports, including financial statements and other required documentation
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans
Perform account reconciliations and analysis
Prepare audit schedules and assist with audit preparation
Assist with project prioritization and ensure grant funds are allocated appropriately
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist with general ledger maintenance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience in grant management and reporting
Experience with Abila, MIP Sage Fund Accounting, or similar accounting software
Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile data
Experience with federal grant regulations, including HUD and other state grant programs
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
