I am partnered with a global market leading FMCG organisation that is actively searching for a Senior Operational Procurement Manager to join their team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. My client is a true pioneer within their sector and operates globally with over 10, 000 different stores and an employee headcount exceeding 30, 000. The company has been increasing rapidly year on year and they're on track to become one of the largest FMCG company's within their particular sector.
The senior procurement category manager will play a crucial role in establishing a top-tier procurement department that generates significant commercial and operational value through RFX processes, E-Procurement, change management, and the effective management of both internal and external supplier relationships within a multimillion-dollar supplier expenditure organization.

This role will encompass various stages of procurement activities for these categories within the US market. It is essential to establish and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders, while also leading change management initiatives and developing national-level partnerships with primary vendor associates. Additionally, the position will leverage regional best practices throughout North America. Responsibilities will include assisting in the development, oversight, and facilitation of the purchasing strategy, as well as managing operations and logistics for the designated functional area and category.
Experience Required:
Bachelors degree
5+ years of procurement & contract management experience, preferably within the retail industry
Possess extensive experience in negotiating complex supply contracts for large-scale goods and services.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of operational functions, emphasizing the significance of close collaboration and partnership to achieve aligned value.
Exhibit confidence as a strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
Ability to be on site in the Charlotte office 2-3 days a week.
