Imperium Data Consulting is working with a client looking to add a Tier 1-2 MSP Technical Support Engineer to their team. About the job
Responsible for performing a wide array for IT related tasks including mobile device configuration, network monitoring/troubleshooting, active directory administration, workstation implementation, computer imaging and set-up, and more. Work within a team to actively implement, maintain, and troubleshoot various devices and technologies for a wide-ranging client base spanning multiple industries.
Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Purchase, configuration, and installation of Windows and Mac based computers.
Perform daily system monitoring for integrity of services and hardware.
Perform change requests for various services and systems.
Research technology trends and identify areas of improvement for client systems.
Interface directly with clients to troubleshoot and resolve issues via remote support.
Maintain and install network equipment such as routers, switches, and access points.
Document all tasks and procedures as well as necessary client system information.
Administer and manage Microsoft 365 tenant settings, including user accounts, licenses, security settings, and compliance features.
Implement and maintain security best practices across all Microsoft 365 services, including data loss prevention (DLP), threat protection, and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Support and maintain compliance to Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements.
Top things the client would like to see in experience:
MSP experience, highly preferred
Good well-rounded experience (tier 2 help desk, active directory, security, desktop support, etc.)
Someone who loves IT and wants to learn
Needs to work with minimal supervision
Ideal years of experience: 1+ years in IT
Other qualifications (Nice to have):
Previous experience with Mac, Windows, and Windows Server operating systems.
Base knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
Base experience with HIPPA, SEC and PCI compliance.
Certifications such as Network+, A+, CCNA, highly desired.
Familiarity with PSA and RMM systems.
