Insight Global is looking for two "3LS Support Engineers" (Level 1 & Level 2) to work onsite at one of their premier customers in Austin, Tx. This person will be utilizing their PC hardware and software knowledge to troubleshoot/debug complex cases that are presented from top customers. They will validate the issues and then debug/root cause the issue (hardware, OS issue, supporting software, etc.) and work with the appropriate internal team (typically R&D) on issue resolution. Once a solution has been identified, they will test to make sure the proposed solution is correct before submitting to the Account team/customer. This person must be skilled with PC hardware and be able to tear down a device to the sub-assembly level. They must also be skilled with software related items such as Windows OS troubleshooting, driver updates, imaging, network connectivity, security, etc. On occasion, this engineer will be asked to join customer calls to discuss the issue and provide updates on where the issue resolution stands. This role will be working onsite in Austin, Tx in a lab environment.
A typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, excluding holidays.
Required Skills & Experience:
2-4 years of experience with in-depth PC troubleshooting/debugging
Strong PC hardware knowledge (tear down a PC to the sub-assembly and put back together)
Strong PC software knowledge (Windows OS troubleshooting, driver updates, PC imaging, etc.)
Strong experience with wireless/non-wireless connectivity on PC devices
Some Cyber Security knowledge
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
Previous experience debugging HP PC devices
Python
Exposure to AI (know what it is, have used it before)
