Job Opportunity: Director of Enterprise Applications ????
A client of ours who is a leader in the Oil / Gas Industry is looking to bring on a Director of Enterprise Applications to lead the development, maintenance, and integration of business-critical applications with a cloud-first strategy ??. This role will ensure high system performance, user satisfaction, and alignment with organizational goals across multiple functional areas.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy ????: Lead a team managing enterprise applications to support operations and projects. Develop application strategies, ensuring secure and reliable integration using a cloud-first approach.
Resource & Vendor Management ????: Oversee resource scheduling, manage external and internal teams, and negotiate vendor contracts. Monitor vendor activities to ensure quality and timely completion within contract scope.
Budget & Compliance Oversight ????: Plan and manage the annual budget for data and software activities, track variances, and establish compliance-focused user provisioning and access controls to mitigate risk.
Operational Standards ????: Establish ITIL-compliant processes for incident, problem, and change management. Develop disaster recovery plans and maintain runbooks aligning with business continuity goals.
Team Development ????: Attract, develop, and retain an outstanding workforce. Define and report on application support metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration ????: Partner with functional leaders across HR, Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Project Controls to align application roadmaps with business goals.
Industry Knowledge & Compliance ????: Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring enterprise technology complies with relevant standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Systems Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience with enterprise business applications, SDLC, and ERP systems.
Proven experience defining technical strategies, focusing on API and integration with a cloud-first approach.
Demonstrated success in managing geographically diverse vendor relationships.
Knowledge of ITIL, incident, change, and problem management within a multi-platform environment.
Strong emotional intelligence and leadership abilities with executive-level presentation skills.
Proven budget management, policy implementation, and personnel development skills.
Adaptability and leadership in a multicultural and dynamic business environment.
