The SVP, Director of Information Technology will shape and drive our client's IT strategy, balancing both strategic direction and operational excellence in a player-coach role. The Director of IT will address the evolving technological needs of a growing organization and support data security and a seamless user experience for internal clients. This leader will collaborate across business units to enhance the IT department's alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Essential Functions
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow an in-house technology team, overseeing vendor and consulting relationships, recruitment, and training.
Data Security: Prioritize client data protection by overseeing cybersecurity initiatives, such as penetration testing and firewall maintenance, to uphold trust and regulatory compliance.
Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to forecast technology requirements, optimize the existing tech stack, and integrate innovative solutions in alignment with business needs.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Strengthen existing cybersecurity protocols and continuously monitor for potential threats to ensure organizational resilience.
Infrastructure Oversight: Oversee infrastructure management across office locations to ensure continuity and operational efficiency.
Software Management: Oversee critical business applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and efficient lifecycle management.

Experience: 15+ years in IT, emphasizing client-focused service, with proven leadership in developing and implementing technology strategies.

Technical Expertise: Proficient with a wide array of technologies, with hands-on experience in system management, network security, and general networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, proxies).

Financial Industry Knowledge: Background in IT systems within the financial sector is preferred, with understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
