Director of Finance:

The Director of Finance will play a critical role at PrepMD by providing strategic financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to aid in high-level decision-making. This individual will work directly with our CEO, and stakeholders across the organization to analyze financial data, develop forecasts, and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing variance analysis and actionable insights to the senior management team.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models to support strategic initiatives, scenario planning, and decision-making.
  • Direct the financial evaluation of key business decisions, including pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Manage external relations by preparing comprehensive financial presentations and other materials for potential investor meetings and conference calls.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and financial institutions, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
  • Develop strategies to attract and secure investment, support fundraising efforts, and manage relationships with current and potential investors.
  • Conduct banking analysis, including cash flow forecasting, covenant compliance monitoring, and relationship management with banking partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with all other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and alignment on financial goals.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks and communicate findings to senior management to support strategic planning efforts.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and materials for executive leadership and board meetings, providing clear and concise explanations of financial performance and trends.

Requirements:
  • MBA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a corporate finance or FP&A role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills; experience with financial software (e.g., Quickbooks Online) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
