Our client operates in multiple units in Indiana selling hardwood, carpet, laminate, and tile flooring with installation services. They are seeking a versatile team of L&D specialists on a contract basis to design and implement a comprehensive Mentorship program for their commercial construction sides corporate office. This program will aim to improve:
- Employee Retention
- Enhance New Hire Performance
- Streamline Training & Development Processes
Key deliverables include:
- Defining skillsets for 11 roles, including proficiency levels and KPIs
- Develop and update SOPs to ensure they align with skillset curriculum
- Create training materials, mentor resources, and courses in the companies LMS, Zoho People
- Set up systems to automate progress tracking and display key program metrics to stakeholders
- Train company leaders and mentors to use assessment tools to evaluate skill development
Curriculum Development and Instructional Design expectations:
- Collaborating with department leaders and SMEs to identify skills and competencies
- Develop structured training and mentoring resources for job positions
- Build assessments and rubrics to evaluate employee progress
L&D Support expectations:
- Lead onboarding, team building, and development initiatives that are critical for new hire success
- Develop and facilitate train the trainer programs, empowering managers and mentors to coach their teams
- Align materials with company goals to ensure both short and long term employee success
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement expectations:
- Conduct QA checks to ensure accuracy and alignment
- Review and update SOPs to reflect any change in process
- Monitor progress of program implementation and provide feedback for improvements
Collaboration and Stakeholder engagement:
- Facilitate ongoing communication with department leaders to ensure training materials align with operational needs
- Engage with high performing employees to gather feedback and refine training modules based on real-world performance insights
What TTA needs:
- Candidates who are local to Indianapolis Indiana who can spend time onsite in a hybrid schedule to work with the team and support the upcoming Mentorship program
- Experience in instructional design creating structured learning programs
- LMS platform experience for course management and organizational management
- Technical writing and QA expertise
- Collaboration to work with SMEs and department heads
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and collaborate across various departments
