Job Description:

LHH is seeking a Development Director. This position focuses on cultivating, stewarding, and expanding relationships with donors at all levels. Community engagement experience is a must. This role requires strong communication skills, follow-up, and responsiveness, often with a high level of prioritization and customer service within an environment of competing priorities and requests.

The Development Director is responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and expanding relationships with donors at all levels to support organizational growth and community engagement. This role requires strong communication, follow-up, and responsiveness, often requiring prioritization and exceptional customer service within a dynamic environment with competing priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Communicate funding needs to potential donors and sponsors through various outreach efforts, including one-on-one solicitations, community presentations, and networking events.
• Oversee donor and sponsorship management to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.
• Develop and implement strategic relationship-building and development plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute membership and donor events to build community connections.
• Provide event support and leadership at community functions.
• Manage donor relations, advertising, and marketing initiatives.
• Develop and oversee a membership program, fostering donor loyalty and engagement.
• Ensure accurate processing of donations and maintain donor records.
• Partner with the Director to identify sponsorship opportunities and ensure all sponsorship benefits are fulfilled.
• Conduct business analytics and data analysis to inform donor strategy.
• Manage and mentor team members, including a Membership Coordinator.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
• 4 -8 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, or development
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills
• Communication skills with stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and leaders
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
