Location: Hybrid - New York, NY 10038
Pay Range: $44-$48/hour DOE
Job Summary:
The Freelance Designer will play a key role in creating commercially viable product designs including Bras, Panties, Sleepwear, etc. This senior-level position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop on-brand designs that meet business objectives while addressing current fashion trends and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Design brand-right, commercial products that align with overall business strategy, focusing on style, color, fit, and fabric.
Develop seasonal collections, including sketches, prototypes, and specifications, adapting designs based on feedback for finalization.
Conduct trend analysis and competitor research, sourcing new ideas and anticipating customer needs.
Present design concepts to internal leaders and cross-functional partners, collaborating with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development teams.
Mentor junior design talent, fostering a collaborative environment and developing team skills.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality, budget, and time requirements, maintaining speed and agility.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience.
5+ years of design experience in a comparable retail environment, ideally in casual sleepwear, intimates, or loungewear.
Able to start November 18th, 2024
Proficiency in CAD illustration, technical design specifications (TP), and familiarity with Centric PLM.
Strong eye for commercial fashion, styling, and detail, along with solid communication and presentation skills.
Team-oriented with the ability to manage and inspire others while working effectively under time pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Moderate domestic and minimal international travel may be required.
