We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and coordinate agile processes within our data teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies, data management, and a proven track record of delivering data-driven projects. You will work closely with product owners, data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth sprint execution and project success.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a servant leader and Scrum Master for data teams, facilitating all agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives).
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project delivery.
Foster a collaborative and transparent working environment by removing roadblocks and facilitating communication between teams.
Guide the team in self-organization, ensuring adherence to agile principles and the scrum framework.
Track and communicate team progress, sprint metrics, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Work with the product owner to ensure that the product backlog is properly maintained, prioritized, and up to date.
Continuously improve team performance through agile best practices and process enhancements.
Lead efforts to manage risks, dependencies, and any obstacles that could impact team productivity.
Champion data-driven decisions and promote best practices in data management, governance, and reporting.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably within data or software engineering teams.
Come from a Financial Services / Wealth Management domain background.
Strong knowledge of agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, with a proven ability to apply these in a data environment.
Solid understanding of data management, data analytics, and data engineering concepts.
Experience working in a cloud-based data ecosystem (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is preferred.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with data pipelines, data modeling, and ETL processes.
Knowledge of data tools and platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, or other data technologies.
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or other agile project management tools
