Our client is a healthcare organization located in Baltimore, MD and is looking to bring on an Avaya Telephony Engineer II due to a recent internal promotion. This person will be responsible for supporting a variety of projects, upgrades and maintenance related to their Avaya telephony system - including an upcoming Avaya Version 10 upgrade. They're looking for this person to be a go-to person for Avaya telephony needs/requests, and will be working closely with their networking team.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Avaya telephony solutions & upgrades.
Perform system upgrades, patches, and general maintenance on all Avaya platforms to ensure proper functionality.
Perform support and troubleshooting for the Avaya telephony systems, and resolve any issues that arise.
Configure and manage Avaya call routing, call flows, hunt groups, call centers, and VoIP systems.
Support network engineering tasks as needed within a Cisco environment.
Work closely with the network engineering team and ensure that the Avaya telephony system is operating properly.
Prioritize & manage tasks and projects independently as they arise.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Avaya Telephony (Or with a similar system such as Cisco Telephony)
Experience with telephony systems maintenance, upgrades/implementations, and system improvements
Excellent communication skills & ability to prioritize/manage projects
