Manhattan-based hedge fund is looking to add a fixed-income investment data reporting analyst to the Investment Portfolio team. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence the firm's investment strategies by providing crucial analysis and insights that guide capital allocation and portfolio management decisions. The role would suit someone who enjoys deep dives into data and collaborating with a team to drive investment performance. This is an investment data analyst role and supports the analysis of portfolio strategies and portfolio construction.
This is not a front-office role.
Responsibilities:
The role will generate several important risk reports for the firm and its clients.
Using Excel to generate reports
Monthly Allocation or Sector Exposure Report - requires updating data
Return Forecasting Expectations Report - create reports, tables, and visualizations for senior management
Trade Data Report- Category of Trades by Sector- Grab raw data, organize data, and explain the results
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
Enjoy being a data detective, with a passion for data-driven research and quantitative analysis to inform investment strategy and decisions.
Ability to clearly document their research findings.
Interest in following credit markets and credit fundamentals.
Adept at managing data and automating report generation to streamline portfolio analysis.
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience working with financial data, data research, or data analysis
BS/BA in a quantitative field: math, statistics, finance, physics
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
Skills in using database/spreadsheet applications (Excel)
Skills in using financial modeling tools (Excel)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding data and time management skills
