Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and driven Senior IT Network Engineer to oversee our Network Operations Center (NOC). This role requires an expert-level understanding of network infrastructure, exceptional problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the NOC, ensuring network performance and reliability, and leading a team of NOC engineers to monitor and support the company's network infrastructure. This job will require 10-15% travel throughout the US.
Key Responsibilities:
NOC Management and Oversight:
Lead and manage the NOC team, ensuring 24/7 network monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting.
Develop and implement NOC processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure optimal network performance and uptime.
Oversee the daily operations of the NOC, including shift management, incident escalation, and reporting.
Network Design and Implementation:
Design, deploy, and maintain complex network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Implement and oversee network solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services across the organization.
Incident and Problem Management:
Lead the response to major network incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing business impact.
Analyze network performance data to identify trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement.
Develop and implement strategies to prevent network incidents and enhance overall reliability.
Network Security and Compliance:
Oversee the implementation of network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, incident reports, and service records.
Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, NOC activities, and incident management to senior management.
Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to NOC engineers and other IT staff.
Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and identify professional development opportunities for the NOC team.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the NOC.
Collaboration and Strategic Planning:
Work closely with IT and business leaders to develop and implement strategic network plans.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality network services and support.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the NOC and network infrastructure remain cutting-edge.
