Optomi, in partnership with a leading insurance agency, are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on a contract to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of areas including vendor application upgrades, migrations, Middleware, and ITIL framework implementation. This role will require close collaboration with application architects and enterprise architects to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and applications. This candidate will report to the clients office location in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
Perform vendor application upgrades such as Oracle Docmaker, Vertafore ImageRight, etc.
Execute migrations to Microsoft SQL 2019 or 2022.
Conduct Windows upgrades and source code repository upgrades.
Lead DevOps initiatives to streamline development and deployment processes.
Develop comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
Implement ITIL framework practices including asset, incident, problem, and change management.
Address non-functional requirements by leveraging tools like Dynatrace.
Collaborate with application architects on infrastructure and application design.
Design, develop, program, and implement systems according to specifications.
Analyze and troubleshoot application issues.
Support maintenance and upgrades of existing software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
SAFe/Agile work experience.
Proficiency in ITIL framework including ITSM - Asset, Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
Knowledge of COTS-based implementations such as Pega, ImageRight, Oracle Documaker, or Dragon.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong collaboration abilities across departments and external partners.
Proactive problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Property Casualty insurance experience preferred, but not required.
Detail-oriented and highly motivated.
Must Have Skills:
Experience with Azure DevOps pipeline code deployments.
Proficiency with Windows platforms, including IIS.
Familiarity with Application Servers like JBOSS and Tomcat.
Basic understanding of relational databases with a focus on MS SQL and Oracle.
Exposure to monitoring, logging, and debugging tools such as Dynatrace.
