The Project Manager will be an organized, service-oriented professional responsible for managing a variety of customer projects. This role requires close communication with multiple departments, vendors, employees, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager will also recommend additional services that enhance safety and efficiency for client operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Power Systems Technician duties, including:
Inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and data collection for low to high-voltage (up to 500kV) electrical systems.
Working with MCCs, breakers, relay calibration, and power metering.
Testing and calibrating both electro-mechanical and solid-state relays.
Conducting low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
Participate in on-call rotation, responding to customer emergencies as needed.
Oversee full project lifecycle, including:
Ordering materials and subcontract services.
Ensuring timely delivery to keep projects on schedule.
Meeting clients on-site as needed to understand their requirements.
Scheduling work, generating work orders, and setting priorities for efficient execution.
Creating accurate, detailed reports in a timely manner.
Providing technical support to field service personnel for testing and troubleshooting electrical power systems.
Willingness to work on-site or supervise field projects as necessary.
Maintain ongoing project schedules and travel plans to facilitate customer service response.
Work may require flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts. Out-of-town work availability is required.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of five years in a related role.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, single-line diagrams, schematics, and other technical materials for circuit breakers and electrical power equipment.
Experience with manpower allocation, LOTO and MOP procedure development, and change order documentation.
Familiarity with PowerDB software and NETA certification.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service, time management, and follow-up abilities.
Ability to manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective completion.
Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
Must hold a valid driver's license if the position requires the use of a company vehicle.

Position Type: Full-time, based in San Jose, CA
Travel: Up to 50% travel is required
Compensation: $58-$65 per hour based on experience, with overtime eligibility. Per diem is provided for travel assignments.
