The Power, Energy & Infrastructure (PEI) team at Cantor Fitzgerald is a globally-integrated investment banking franchise with deep industry experience and privileged access to leading capital providers. Through its global reach, the team maintains strong relationships and continuous dialogue with top financial sponsors and corporates in the infrastructure, power, utilities, and energy transition industries. The team focuses on a wide range of services, including M&A, leveraged finance, restructuring, project finance, and debt and equity financing solutions. Since its inception in 2018, the PEI team has successfully executed over 100 transactions, including leading several groundbreaking first-time deals and several of the largest M&A and debt financing transactions in the United States, EMEA and ASIA.
On the back of significant transaction flow in the United States, the PEI team is seeking to add analysts in New York to support the Global Head of the business and a broader execution effort.
Responsibilities:
Cantor Fitzgerald's award-winning global Power, Energy & Infrastructure Team is seeking highly motivated and successful candidates with investment banking or industry related experience, including consulting, accounting, and corporate development, for an Analyst position in New York. While we value investment banking experience, we welcome candidates with other backgrounds but knowledge of, and passion for, power and energy markets, infrastructure financing or the technological and industrial drivers of the energy transition.
The team delivers a broad range of advisory services, such as M&A, capital raising, and project financing, with expertise across power generation, utilities, energy transition related software and industrial equipment, digital infrastructure and transportation infrastructure. The Investment Banking Group at Cantor Fitzgerald offers Analysts an exceptional opportunity to work in deal teams with direct exposure to clients and senior bankers. Our Analysts are an integral part of the team, taking on significant responsibility in developing, structuring, and executing a broad range of advisory assignments and financial transactions for our clients. Responsibilities include:
Work with senior bankers in originating, structuring, and executing deals across M&A and capital markets
Develop complex greenfield and brownfield financial models and conduct financial analyses for power, energy, and infrastructure projects across all sectors
Draft marketing materials, including financing proposals, investor materials, rating agency presentations, and pitchbooks
Conduct industry and company research to identify new opportunities
Coordinate various processes, including M&A and capital markets transactions
Assist in completing transaction due diligence with third-party advisors
Organize and participate in marketing and client meetings
Conduct industry and company-specific research related to transactions
Interact with corporate clients, private equity firms, infrastructure funds, strategic investors, and senior bankers
Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant work experience
Self-motivated individuals who display initiative, drive, and leadership
Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably from a top-tier school
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $110,000. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
