A long-standing organization in NJ is seeking a Drug & Alcohol Coordinator to assist with upcoming audits.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage the daily activities of the Drug & Alcohol previous employer release of information form per 49 CFR Part 40.25 to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Meet with final applicants to assist with the completion of the release form.
Follow-up with the final applicant's previous employer within 15 days of sending the form. Document and keep hard copy and electronic records of dates initial contact and any follow up attempts.
Receive and review the form completed by the previous employer. If you obtain information that the employee has violated a DOT agency drug and alcohol regulation, contact the Designated Employee Representative (DER) immediately.
Coordinate with Candidate Experience unit and Medical internal and external candidates applying to safety sensitive positions in compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain records and database of drug and alcohol background checks.
Prepare audit documentation packages for previous employer release of information forms as it relates to D&A audit.
Prepare monthly reports of all drug and alcohol release forms collected.
Prepare monthly reports of all drug and alcohol and testing status for each federal agency.
Maintain the D & A file room previous employer inactive-cabinet and D & A files and record keeping in compliance with record management policies, Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace policies and all federal regulations.
Review D&A previous employer verification files and documentation regularly to ensure that files are complete, secure and maintained in accordance with federal regulations.
Coordinate periodic mock audits for FRA and FTA compliance. Responsible for managing audit preparation and coordination for all release of information forms. Assist in retrieving required files and responding to inspector request during federal compliance audits.
Perform additional functions related to Drug & Alcohol Program administration as appropriate.
