Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Project Engineer in Cary, NC. This individual must have experience supporting clients in a cGMP environment.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation, commissioning, and handover of equipment in our projects
Your expertise in equipment installation practices, commissioning procedures, and quality assurance will be crucial in ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and meets the required performance standards
You will identify system scope in drawings for walkdown documentation package, conduct system walkdown with the P&IDs and other documentation as required to ensure that the system is complete and ready for client walkdown
Your exceptional technical knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with project teams and equipment suppliers will contribute to the successful delivery of our projects
Collaborate with project teams, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors to develop equipment installation plans, commissioning procedures, and turnover protocols
Review equipment specifications, installation drawings, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials to the project site
Supervise and inspect equipment installation activities to ensure compliance with design intent, manufacturer guidelines, and safety regulations
Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and tests to verify the readiness of equipment for commissioning activities
Develop commissioning plans and procedures for various equipment systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Oversee and participate in commissioning activities, such as equipment start-up, functional testing, performance verification, and calibration
Collaborate with project teams to address any issues or deficiencies identified during the commissioning process, coordinating necessary corrective actions and retesting
Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports, documenting test results, equipment performance, and any deviations or non-conformities
Coordinate with project teams to ensure proper training of operations and maintenance personnel on equipment functionality, operation, and maintenance procedures
Conduct final inspections and acceptance tests to verify that all equipment installations and commissioning activities are complete and meet project requirements
Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate and comprehensive turnover documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranties
Stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices related to equipment installation, commissioning, and turnover, and apply them to improve processes and outcomes
Qualifications & Experience:
2-6 years' experience in pharmaceutical/Biotech industry or equivalent experience/education
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Ability to organize, prioritize and delivery tasks &projects with a sense of urgency
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written; and with various organizational levels
Capable to manage multiple priorities, adapt and maintain adherence to timelines
Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
