Job Description:

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, has been retained by Belmont Hill School to find their next Director of Advancement Services at a private boys' school in Belmont, Massachusetts with a mission to educate boys in mind, body, and spirit to develop men of good character.

The Director of Advancement Services plays a crucial role in the success of Belmont Hill's initiatives and fundraising efforts. This position requires an advancement expert who is focused on data and results, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with office leadership to design and oversee the overall stewardship program.
  • Partner with other essential team members to build a robust donor pipeline that progresses from Annual Fund contributions to Major Gifts.
  • Generate reports to guide data-informed decisions for program development.
  • Oversee activities related to donor recognition and cultivation, including events and stewardship initiatives.
  • Promote a philanthropic culture by creating annual reports and other materials that highlight impact.
  • Creating and executing email communication for events and fundraising through Online Express and Constant contact.
  • Attend and staff Alumni House events

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in advancement services
  • Expertise in Raiser's Edge
  • Communication support: Online express email experience
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and establish productive relationships with a diverse range of constituents
  • Proficiency in data entry
  • Graphic/design skills a plus
