SUMMARY:
The Revenue Analyst is responsible for supporting and implementing revenue management practices for the company. This includes analyzing market demand, competitive analyses, implementing pricing strategies, and managing inventory to optimize yields based on demand and supply. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the travel industry and revenue management principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue Management
Implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices
Manage and develop day to day yield operations
Support strategic and tactical action in collaboration with marketing and sales teams to ensure revenue goals are met
Pricing
Implement pricing strategies in line with industry best practices
Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends
Support various departments with individual pricing detail and requirements
Advise and collaborate with departments to maximize channel performance
Analyze overall monthly tour performance and provide summary report with recommendations on strategies to improve long-term company performance
Ensure all related systems and data are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity
Inventory Management
Create and maintain a rolling demand calendar
Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Report on inventory performance to management
Reporting
Provide daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting as required
Provide weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons
Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting
Other responsibilities
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of staff
Adhoc requests made by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Tourism, Hotel Management, Finance or Economic Studies.
3 - 5 years of hands-on Revenue Management experience.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Knowledge of the following software a plus: Salesforce, Qlik, Tableau, Softrip, PowerBI, GDS, CRS, Extranets
Business Development DNA and commercial minded.
Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes.
Good analytical and numerical skills for fast data crunching.
Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment.
Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs.
Able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the Sales teams.
Capable of prioritizing between revenue generating actions and time-consuming tasks with low yield impact.
