The Director of Field Services is responsible for overseeing all field operations at VIVA Railings. This role requires strategic leadership to ensure the successful execution of installation projects, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement of field service processes. The Director of Field Services will collaborate closely with the Operations, Sales, and Project Management teams to drive efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and uphold VIVA Railings' commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Field Services department, aligning with VIVA Railings' goals and core values and mentor field service teams, including Superintendents, Foremen, Field Engineers, and Installers, to enhance performance, productivity, and team cohesion a positive and safety-focused work environment, promoting continuous improvement and accountability.
Operations Management:
Oversee daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, safety, and consistency across field operations.
Coordinate with Project Management and Sales teams to provide accurate job status updates, resolve issues, and maintain client satisfaction.
Resource Allocation & Planning:
Manage workforce planning and resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and equipment.
Work with the HR and Recruiting teams to identify staffing needs and participate in hiring and training processes for field personnel.
Oversee inventory management and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Safety & Compliance:
Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and training to maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident reviews to proactively address potential hazards.
Ensure all field staff are equipped with appropriate PPE and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Client & Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related issues, managing client expectations and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Project Management, Sales, and Operations, to align field activities with project goals.
Provide timely reporting on field activities, project progress, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction or field service management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in railing, architectural metals, or a related industry is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team-building abilities with experience managing large, diverse teams.
Proficiency in project management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
A solid understanding of construction safety standards and best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software.
