We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to join one of our teams in the Albuquerque facility. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within the manufacturing process. This role involves developing and implementing quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of quality technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's QMS in accordance with ISO standards and industry best practices.
Ensure all quality processes align with organizational goals and customer requirements
Quality Assurance and Control:
Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Implement statistical process control methods to monitor and improve product quality.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and train quality control technicians and inspectors.
Coordinate work schedules and assign tasks to ensure efficient operation of the quality department.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process enhancements and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Prepare for and facilitate internal and external audits, addressing any non conformities promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
Generate regular reports on quality metrics and present findings to senior management.
Supplier Quality Management:
Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, working closely with procurement to address quality issues.
Conduct supplier audits as necessary.
Customer Satisfaction:
Address customer complaints related to product quality, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
Work to enhance overall customer satisfaction through quality improvements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the water filtration or membrane industry.
Proven experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001 quality systems.
Certifications:
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar certification is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in using quality management software and statistical analysis tools.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
