Eccalon is seeking a Business Process Analyst to support our team within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense. This role supports the office serving in an administrative coordinator role, establishing and monitoring suspense timelines, and reviewing products for accuracy and adequacy. Communication with the organization's senior-level staff and collaboration with a broad range of personnel is also required. The position will be located at the Pentagon. This position requires an active Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
Perform administrative duties as required for the Assistant Secretary of Defense in various roles. Manage office functions to support ASD and other office employees.
Manage all assigned incoming/outgoing correspondence and suspense actions.
Coordinate and prepare directorate personnel actions, official travel arrangements and orders, and schedules and oversees meetings and conferences on behalf of the Director.
Develop and/or use simple databases and spreadsheets; assist with data collection, data analysis, and research.
Perform data quality and data assurance reviews; conduct data analyses using qualitative and quantitative methods, prepare summary displays to report analysis results and findings.
Planning and execution of studies, working groups, projects, and other activities that span across multiple organizations and agencies.
Assist with project management and OSD action officer functions.
Develop and deliver briefings and white papers as required to document and provide the results of any analysis performed.
Perform editing, document formatting, and proofreading.
Provide assistance with meeting logistics and preparing briefings.
Respond to internal and external substantive questions and inquiries on assigned tasks and projects.
Analyze and respond to congressional, DoDIG, and GAO inquiries regarding portfolio programs.
Track programs throughout the acquisition lifecycle to monitor execution and end-to-end functionality within cost and schedule constraints.
Maintain cognizance of future programs, areas of interest and emerging requirements
Give clear oral and written explanations of assigned tasks, relevant issues, analytic approach, and results.
Required Qualifications
Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance
Highly proficient in the use of the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
Familiarity with DoD protocol and senior directorate office operations.
5 or more years of experience supporting DoD or other Federal agencies.
Bachelor's degree.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience as a junior or non-commissioned officer leading DoD programs is highly desired.
Prior experience providing administrative support to senior DoD leadership.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external staff members, and the ability to work independently and take a proactive role.
Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks according to senior staff requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
