What You Will Do:
  • Manage equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates
  • Handle purchasing and release of non-commodity items
  • Oversee submittal, operations, maintenance, and closeout processes
  • Negotiate and price all change orders
  • Develop initial project schedules
  • Submit RFIs and review responses for scope impact
  • Provide project information to Construction Manager, job Superintendent, Fabrication Division, and Start-up Supervisor
  • Collaborate with the Virtual Construction Department for detailing information

What We Are Looking For:
  • Hands-on project management experience in commercial construction projects
  • Experience managing projects lasting a year or more
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical), Building Construction, or Construction Engineering Management
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Excel and project management software
  • Knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, and resource coordination
  • Ability to deal diplomatically with internal and external customers (owners, GCs, subcontractors, engineers, superintendents, draftsmen)
  • Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, engineering standards, and codes
