We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Project Manager to lead, plan, and oversee the implementation of building automation systems (BAS) in commercial facilities. This role involves coordinating with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate is skilled in project management, possesses deep knowledge of building automation systems, and excels in client communication and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for BAS projects.
Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional project team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Resource Allocation: Ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are effectively allocated to meet project requirements.
Documentation: Maintain detailed project records, including change orders, status reports, and technical documentation.
Quality Assurance: Oversee system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting to verify proper installation and operation.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure that projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and best practices, including LEED, ASHRAE, and local building codes.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with Vendors and Suppliers to procure necessary equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management within building automation or a related industry.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems.
Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications preferred.
Skills: Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore) and familiar with building management system (BMS) platforms such as Siemens, Honeywell, or Convergentz.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges, solve problems, and maintain a proactive approach to project management.
