Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Procurement will oversee all Sonrava Health procurement operations. Responsibilities include oversight for the Sonrava Health's purchasing, materials management, inventory management, distribution for all offices. The Senior Manager is responsible for envisioning, articulating, and effectively executing a clear, modern and effective integrated end-to-end supply chain that meets and keeps pace with clinician and patient expectations while keeping costs of operations within the established long-range plan targets and budgets. The Senior Manager participates in the development of long-term strategies and business plans. This role will have the financial oversight for managing the multi-million-dollar budget in annualized supply expenses and capital expenditures. The Senior Manager reports directly to the SVP, Supply Chain.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, leads, and executes the supply chain strategy and operations for the System and ensures alignment with the organization's broader mission and strategy.
  • Actively manages all system-wide purchasing and warehouse facilities and activities.
  • Leads the organization's value analysis activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining supply chain ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring all System locations are stocked with the required supplies, while ensuring optimal flow of inventory throughout the System.
  • Anticipates future trends related to supply chain operations to ensure the organization can maximize opportunities and always sustain our high level of patient care.
  • Builds and maintains contingency plans for supply chain disruption that could impact our ability to obtain critical supplies. This includes but is not limited to identifying alternate products, suppliers, and maintenance of emergency stocking and distribution.
  • Develops and administers budgets for all assigned departments, entities, and facilities, providing for the attainment of agreed upon goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with budget guidelines and constraints.
  • Ensures compliance with materials management/supply chain related regulatory requirements.
  • Provides effective leadership to the supply chain team, ensuring that all members share a common vision to deliver the best clinical care for our patients. Fosters a spirit of service within the entire supply chain operation.
  • Proactively seeks to improve and/or identify new processes and systems to raise quality and productivity. Motivates teams to encourage and reinforce innovation and change thinking. Involves key influencers in the design and implementation of change initiatives to gain buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Delegates effectively and demonstrates the ability to accomplish things through mobilizing the team, both enabling others to act with purpose while holding them accountable.
  • Partners with Sonrava leadership, and builds strong and deep relationships with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Information Technology in support of all supply chain activities including capital budgeting and procurement. Works regularly with leaders throughout the organization to identify and resolve problems, coordinate and improve services offered; participating in the planning and implementing of new projects and services.
  • Develops trusted relationships with dentists, senior clinical and non-clinical leaders, to understand their needs, strategies, and objectives, devising effective and efficient ways to implement supply chain solutions that align to and support those objectives.

Qualifications

  • Ten years of health system supply chain experience, including five years of leadership experience required, preferably with a medium to large dental organization.
  • Involvement with receiving, storage and distribution activities.
  • Previous experience managing a receiving and distribution processes across a widely distributed network of company locations.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of processes, procedures and regulations relating to the procurement, storage, receiving, and distribution of supplies/equipment utilized in dental practices and facilities. Understands industry best practices and utilizes this knowledge to benchmark and drive performance.
  • Requires working knowledge of negotiating contracts, purchase orders, etc., with dental suppliers for the Health System to ensure ongoing compliance with customer needs, GPO agreements, System financial goals and objectives.
  • Requires an extremely high level of analytical and organizational skills in order to direct and coordinate all supply chain activities, effectively develop staff, develop and monitor budgets, participate in short- and long-range planning, and solve complex technical and human resource problems to ensure optimal staff development.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of compliance with U.S. wide regulations impacting supply chain activities, and preparation of related reports.
  • Demonstrates an extremely high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated political acumen and the necessary skills to constructively balance the interests of diverse stakeholders, possessing a deep appreciation for customer service.
  • Demonstrates poise and self-control, establishes credibility, deals diplomatically with conflict, and instills a sense of trust and confidence in others.
  • Proven success in building, developing, motivating, and leading high-performing teams that deliver superior customer service by achieving desired results within specified timelines.
  • Self-motivated high energy achiever with proven ability to manage multiple, strategically critical projects and timelines.
  • Proficient in analysis techniques and tools to support budget planning, decision support, cost efficiencies, and performance management.
  • Proven experience with complex supplier contract negotiation, system integration, and medical/product equipment knowledge within a healthcare environment.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
