Job Summary:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the cutover planning, execution and delivery of IT projects within an organization. This role ensures that multiple, competing projects are not overlapping in delivery, change management and functionality across various systems in a complex landscape of connected applications. The IT Project Manager will lead discussions with various IT project teams to identify and manage project risks and issues directly related to critical integration point and keep key stakeholders updated on mitigation options.
Professional Experience we are looking for:
Environment Management:
Track various development, test and UAT environments assigned to project and effectively manage the allocation and transfer between projects.
Understand when projects require what environments and what connections to other application and communicate to project teams in advance.
Critical Integration touchpoints:
Lead discussions with IT project delivery teams across project portfolios to identify critical integration points and ensure they are overlapping in delivery
Facilitate key stakeholder meetings to emphasize risks and issues related to project deliverables that are touching the same set of system
Assess Risks and Issues and develop mitigation options on system integration touchpoints and ensure projects are sequenced properly and do not introduce stability issues
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including business leaders, technical teams, and vendors.
Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
Manage stakeholder expectations by clearly communicating timelines, challenges, and project changes.
Risk and Issue Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
Proactively address any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and deliverables.
Escalate unresolved issues to senior management, along with proposed solutions.
Quality Control:
Ensure the project meets quality standards and specifications.
Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure that projects comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, timelines, risk assessments, and status reports.
Manage change control processes, ensuring that any scope changes are documented and communicated.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
