As our client's Industrial Product Director, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of the global Industrial portfolio by establishing clear category and segment strategies, spearheading new product innovations, and overseeing product portfolio management. This role also focuses on B2B marketing and business development initiatives focused in North America.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a global, multinational corporation with at least 2-3 years in a Sales role working directly with commercial teams.
Experience in R&D, collaborating with stakeholders, leading projects through execution and functional leadership;
Direct cross-functional teams in product development and innovation initiatives to drive impactful results and meet strategic goals.
Craft and execute comprehensive marketing and go-to-market strategies to ensure successful product launches and sustained market penetration.
Demonstrate a strong history of project management and cross-team collaboration, successfully bridging technical and commercial functions to deliver on objectives.
A proactive, hands-on leader who is deeply involved in team efforts and actively contributes to achieving project success.
Solid history of developing & maintaining relationships with commercial customers via the delivery of products, customer service & maintaining expertise of our client's products and inventory
Develop incentive programs, training, and pricing strategies
Drive business development opportunities to support short term and long- term objectives including capacity requirements, sales and marketing requirements, technical support, and other related functions
Provide P&L oversight while driving improvements of the portfolio and process to reduce cost and increase profitability
Professional Project Management Certification and/or Education, preferred
Bachelors' degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Business Administration or Marketing or Engineering and at least 10 years of experience as a Product Manager in a global, multinational, matrix organization or an MBA
Bilingual in Spanish, a plus.
20% Travel Domestic & International Travel
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the strategic plan within the Industrial Construction and Packaging category, focusing on all the selected market segments and supporting regional teams.
Focus on key specialty product launches or re-launches to accelerate growth and define comprehensive distribution strategy that rationalizes direct sales channels and indirect/distribution channels.
Develop strategic Product Development and New Business roadmaps for the Industrial and adjacent markets. Lead new product initiatives with cross-functional teams (Sales, Supply Chain, R&D) to deliver growth from innovation, including line extensions and new applications utilizing existing and new technologies.
Position the company as a thought leader and proactive component supplier in the Industrial/Construction categories with a portfolio of product solutions.
Lead B2B marketing efforts to drive new business from strategic targeting and lead generation, to customer engagement to the final sale.
Drive market insights and develop the Industrial category value proposition. Leads end-to-end development of new products and value propositions for end users and the value chain.
Understand competitive landscape and study how new markets can be tackled with our value proposition.
Oversee business development opportunities including capacity requirements, sales and marketing needs, technical support and all other related functions in Industrial/Construction.
Collaborate with the Global Marketing Team to identify growth opportunities.
Create a forecasted budget and implement with the Sales Teams.
Responsible for category controllable aspects of the P&L including costs, rebates, returns, freight, sales, advertising, and marketing spend, etc.
Report on category status regularly and oversee pricing strategy.
Work closely with other functions (Operations, R&D, HR, Finance, IT, Customer Relations etc.) to ensure support and alignment to the Business Unit strategy.
