Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview: As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, and increasing efficiency across the production floor. This position requires a proactive, hands-on approach to process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions that align with lean manufacturing principles and optimize production output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain process documentation, including standard work instructions, process flow charts, and other technical documentation.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing manufacturing processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the design and product development teams to support new product introductions, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues, developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime and improve quality.
  • Lead projects to design, source, and install new equipment and tooling, ensuring proper training and process integration for production teams.
  • Drive adherence to health and safety standards across the production floor, implementing best practices to reduce risk and improve overall safety.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians in troubleshooting, technical skills, and continuous improvement methods.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a high-volume production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and statistical process control.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, Six Sigma, and 5S.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies and a track record of implementing automation solutions in manufacturing.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO 9001) and adherence to quality management systems.
