We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manufacturing Project Manager to lead our Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across various manufacturing facilities nationwide. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and driving cost savings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing processes, project management, and data analysis, with a proven track record of implementing CI projects that deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead CI Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.
Conduct Time Studies: Perform detailed time studies and analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in manufacturing processes, developing actionable strategies for improvement.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze manufacturing workflows, layouts, and procedures, recommending and implementing changes to improve speeds and feeds.
Data Analysis:Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate performance metrics, track progress, and assess the impact of CI initiatives on manufacturing outcomes.
Training and Development: Mentor and train staff on CI methodologies, tools, and techniques, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost savings through improved processes and reduced waste, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on project status, results, and potential areas for further improvement.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of CI projects, including objectives, methodologies, results, and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in manufacturing project management, with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
Proven track record of successful CI project implementation and process optimization in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites across the country as needed.
