Job Description
Manage Global Genomics business to ensure profitability and the delivery of quality products and services to clients.
Work closely with go-to-market teams to identify and assess potential opportunities ensuring a robust pipeline of new and existing business.
Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategy and financial planning, supporting the successful execution of business objectives.
Ensure commercial success by focusing customer satisfaction and executing strategies to sustain and enhance customer relationships; collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and resolve any issues concerning our products and services.
Cultivate and maintain long-term customer relationships that enhance revenue growth and profitability; work with cross-functional teams to create and implement customer-centric initiatives that align with our business goals and objectives. Develop policies, practices, and standards to minimize and manage business risk to the Company and customers.
Develop, monitor, and implement budgets and pricing programs. Maintain financial oversight of operations.
Develop and implement strategic and tactical initiatives of the Genomics business, including technology development initiatives and roll-out in conjunction with Scientific and Business leads. Take ownership of strategic initiatives and work with functional management to develop implementation plans, including measures to evaluate success.
Responsibilities include training, coaching, and mentoring employees; planning, delegating, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems.
In conjunction with senior leadership, other regional managers, and global functional managers, assist in formulating effective global strategic goals and objectives.
Provide support to business development and continued development of a competitive service offering by comparing capabilities with the market expectation for the Genomics business.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in business or science-related field required, PhD preferred
Minimum of 10 years of preclinical and/or clinical trial experience required, preferably working at a CRO or a large pharmaceutical company.
Extensive experience with contemporary genomic and molecular technologies required.
Knowledge of operational aspects of pharmaceutical/biotech service delivery preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory and regional policies and practices in laboratory environment required.
