Volt is immediately hiring for an Accounting Manager in Brownwood, TX (relocation assistance provided if needed).
As an Accounting Manager, you will:
Collects and analyzes data on costs, variances, and financial performance
Prepares comprehensive reports, including cash flow forecasts, capital forecasts, and financial statements
Assists in annual budgeting for plant cost centers
Manages work-in-process (WIP) inventory
Coordinates and directs routine cycle counts of WIP.
Issues instructions and assigns duties
Ensures adherence to policies and procedures
Improves efficiency through process standardization
Resolves employee conflicts and maintains a positive work environment
This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, accounting software)
Proven leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of accountants
Ability to delegate tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience in cost accounting and variance analysis
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
Experience in manufacturing or related industries
Understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and cost accounting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CMA certification preferred
Salary: $77,000 - $103,000/year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
