POSITION SUMMARY
The LIFE Connection Quality Improvement and Compliance Coordinator works directly with the Quality Assurance Director to carry out the LIFE Connection Quality Improvement Plan and ensure compliance with state and federal policies and regulations. With the oversight of the QA Director, this position is responsible for collecting and validating data accuracy from all sources for reports to be shared with all stakeholders.
The QI and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the integrity of the medical record and implementing the process to resolve grievances and service delivery requests.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid NJ Driver's License, Registration and Insurance required.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year working with a frail or elderly population required. 3-5 years clinical or post-acute experience required; preferably within quality improvement dept., case management, risk management or utilization management areas. Knowledge regarding educational principles, accreditation standards, and statistical analysis required. Technical Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee must be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team model, interfacing and collaborating with a wide range of clinical and social services disciplines who work together to manage the PACE participants' care. The work setting is in an Adult Day Health Center and primary care clinic environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperatures. This position requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination; the ability to use department equipment; and the ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds using appropriate body mechanics with reasonable accommodation if needed. The essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
